The ïiomiiuions of Ex-Gov. Austin Blair and Thos. J. O'Brien tor Judges were wise ones and tor the good of the party as well as for the hest interests of jusiice. The advancement of Mr. Blair is especial ly gratityinv to the proprietor of the OOORIXB, inasinuch as it was by liis exertions tlie Governor wa mude a regent two years ago, anü it is belifVtd that the üssuniing of the ermine will not cause his resigiiation from the Board of Reents. With such a man on the bencji of the state all the important decisions coming therefrom will not now emanate trom one braln to which hitherto the others have been subservicnt. Thcre will uow bo less chance for Jtisüce topeep out from undcr the bandage to see vvho i fricnd and who is foe. Tbere is more llkelihoocl of its being dealt out even-h:irided. Kor this we congratúlate tlie citizeus of tla commonweahh.
