beveral junior laws were admitted to the bar Monday. The bells for the Library tower hare been purchased. Many of the junior laws have already departed for their homes. Next Wednesday the senior laws will listen to their last lectures. Prof. C. H. Stowell is able to go out riding when the weather permlts. A charaber concert is to be given this evening in north college building. The freslunen meet to-morrow to make arrangements for their class supper. Prof. Kent is to close up the course of iectures by a talk to the senior laws next Thursday. Prof. Walter went to Detroit, Monday, to attend the funeral of his aunt, Mis. E. C. Walker. The juniors liada very pleasant class social Friday evening, with liss Bessie Hunt as hostess. The weary students will soon have another rest, as a weuk's vacation will begin for them uext Friday night. Jas. C. Ambrose, cluss of 'G3, who lectured in University Hall Friday evening, was a guest of Judge Cheever. George W. Knight, 78, recently bookkeeper in the National Bank, has again entered college for another degree. The tlnee largest Young Men's Christian Associations in Michigan are Detroit, 400: Anii Albor, 150; HilUdale, 132. The senior medical, dental and pharmic classes have sensibly decided to have their photographic work done by Lewis & Gibson. Tliree, out of the twenty-seven law students who were examined Wednesday night for admi8sion to the bar, were plucked. Amona; those who went into Detroit on Saturday to see Mrs. Langtry were Messrs. Cochrane, Moselcy, Gregory, Cheek and Johnson. Two Law students, F. W. Lamey and F. B. Leiand, have bought out the Commcncement Atriual and will publish it after the Law Commencement. We learn that a New York artist is coming to Michigan in search of " subjects." He is respectfully referred to the University pickling vat. - Lansing Journal. Prof. Campbell appeared before the law students Tuesday afternoon for the first time since the liolidays. He will lecture each day until the close of the course. Rev. Mr. Morgan of the medical school soon gofis to take a charge in Ohlo. We are informed that next year he intends to go to an eastern college for his degree. By invitation of Gilbert Bliss last Saturday the Scientific Society visited and examined theclock in the court house. The week before, the students in astronomy inspected it. The members of the Zeta Psi chapter, having been compelled to leave their house on account of its unhealthfulness, have moved down town. Their housekeeper, Mrs. Ten Brook, goes to take charge of the Psi Upsilon house vice Mrs. Geddes who left it this week. The lecture of Ambrose, Friday night was well attended. Although many of the audience were disappointed in the lecture, the lecturer made somegood hits and handled things without gloves. Attention paid to the points of his criticism on the "Sham Family " would make us happier and better.
