MARTIN- Youngest chlld of Julia Martín, of Ann Arbor Towustilu, dled March 9, at the age of 7 mos., of disease of the braln. DAVI9- Mrs. C. Davis of the Fourth Ward died March 11, at the age of 75 yeara. Dlsease, cáncer. PICKETT- Margaret Plckett of th Slxth Ward, died March 12, at the age of 78 years, of paralysls. Funeral Wednesday. Preston, was born August 25,1978, and died of scarlet fever March 8, 1883, after a week of great sufferlng. She was a pecullarlly emotlonal chlld, al ways sharlng In the sorrow as well al In the joy of her relativos and other assoclates. In the lat ter part of her stek nes, in moment of apparent relief from pain. she seemed happy, and talked about ner llttle acqualntances, aud had a pleaaant thought for ach of thera. Wlien told that she oould not get well and was asked lf be wantod to go and see her grandpa, she replied In her pleasant volee: "Yes, I want to go and see my grandpa Preston and graudpa Hawley, loo." The anzious parents separated from the rest of the fumlly and were conflned in the room wlth their preclous chlld, sufferlng wtth her all the pain of tbat horrible week.
