i ne regular jjiarcli meeting or the board of Regcnts was held Tuesdny and all were preseut but S. S. Walker. No business of especial Importanoe was transacted beyond passing upon the degrees of the Law and Dental students, and makinga few changes in the f aculties. Gov. A. Feich resigned, and the board are correipondingwith Mr. Henry W. Rogers to lili the vacancy. In Mr, Geisler's place uiade vacant by resignation, Mr. L. L. Van Slyke was appointed as assistant in qualitative cheniistry, Mr. F. T. Babbitt taking the place of the latter. Mr. Textor, assistant ia quantitative analysis, resigned and Mr. J. W. Baird takes his place. Dr. HendnckshadliissalaryincreasedtofSOO. Assistant Prof. Wrampelmeier was granted leave of absence for a year, and Prof. Morris for the fiist semester of next year, their salaries to cease durlng the time, It was estimated that about $150 would be required for takins; down the books trom the present library, ti ansporting them and putting them on the shelves la the new building, sothisamountwasappropriated, together with $50 for extra help. It having been found that some of the insurance was injudiciously placed, acommittee was appointed to look up the matter. The board adjourned Wednesday morning.
