A Fire

Ttie ordinary quiet of the town was suddenly brokeu in upou Monday noon by the clangor of the fire-bells. The alarm was caused by the burningof Win. Taylor's barn on Thompson Street, which had probably been set afire. The Lower Town engine arrived and had the first stream upon the building, bilt it waa too hite to save it. Notliing further was burned. The contents were mostly remoTed, and as the barn was insured for $500 there was not much loss.
