Town Meeting

We are not surprised at the result of the election last Monday, when the leatling Republican organ of the State, in what it perhaps considered to be the conscientious discharge of its dijty, counselled rebellion, and that it was right for onethird of the Republican memb;rs of the Legislature to rebel against the action of the two-thirds, and openly set at defiance all the past usages of the party. There could be but one result this spring, and who is prepared to say that it is not right that the party leaders should be severely rebuked ?
