The literary society meels Saturday night, May 12th. . J. F. Wheelock has purchased the lot joining his, belonging to Mrs. Kellogg. Irving Storms has set out scven tliousand raspberry bushes upon his farm this spring. The Lima cornet band lately organized is in full blast, and the boys think that they will be able to furnish some music for the citizens of Lima throiigh the sumDier, and whenever they muy happen to cali on them. Dr. Cari and wife had a very narrow escape on e day last week, from being fatally injured, if not killed, It sceuis that they were out ridinR when the horse bccame frigliteiicd and tuining around suddenly upset thecarria{e and threw them out, and bul for the presencc of mind of Mrs. Carr vvho was driving at the time the accident happened, and succeeded in stopping the horse just in time to prevent injitry to thernselves.
