Tliis college is free frora debt, and its permanent growth and greatly enlarged facilities and usefulness at Mt. Union are assured. The past year has been the most successful and aggressive it lias enjoyed in es thirty-seven years of remarkable history. The college has a full and competent Faculty and an enterprising body of students and alumni. Nutnber of different students the past year, 512. This Fall term of 13 weeks begins August 2S, 1883; winter term of 13 weeks begins December 4th; spring term of 13 weeks be!ins March 4, 1884. and surnmer term begins June 3d and ends with eommencement, July 31, 1884. The winter term accommodates those not teaching, enabhng them to gain a term. By nieans of apparatus and specimens all the studies are illustrated and applied. lts distinctive features are : to make a thorough, liberal, practical education accessible to all; enabling students to defray their expenses, and equal privileges to ladies. By having erected buildings this college regulates and cheapens cost of students' rooms and board, their chief expense.
