The paintingof "Niágara Falls," wlilch hasjustcome trom the studio of Frank C. Bromley and F. R. Green, and is at present on exhibition at Stevens' Art Gallery. Is one of the finest evidences ve have of the genius and talent of these young o-laborers. The subject has been handed in the realistic style that has already lade these 8rtists famous, the force of ie picture almost carrying one in fancy o the brink of the greatcataract, and the ¦ush and roar of the tremeudous torrent )eing all but perceptible. Tiie soft effects f the spray dashed against the slippery ocks, the creamy, rock-lashed water beeath the fall, and the etnerald tints of ie Horseshoe Falls are all rcproduced wlth qreat falthfulnese to nature. The canvas wlll be on exliibitlon at the Stevens' Art Gallery, Nos. 24 and 20 Adains Street, Chicago, during the continuance of the Exposition, and should be visited by all lovers of Art. A short time since Mr. Davison of this office printed in black, on pink satin, several copies of a memorial supplement, published by the Washteniw Post, to be retained as mementos of the issue. The following is a f ree tranílation of the Post's notice of the same on the 13th inst.: One of the most beautiful jobs of printing in the State of Michigan was done by Mr. Charles Davison of this city, week before last, on an ordinary Hoe eylinder pres?. The same was given by us week before last as a supplement to the Washtenaw Post, and contained the memorial services read Sunday the 26th of August on the celebration of the liflieth anniyersary of Bethlehem church. Itwasprinted on a piece of satin two by three feet large, and every letter.upon it is as easily read as on -white paper, although the type with which it was printed bas already been in use four years. Mr. Davison is to be congratulated on his masteifnl piece of work.
