Miss Clara N. Coleman ia in Duluth. Col. J. L. Burleigh was lu town Tuesday. A. E. Cook has been visiting his brotuer W. W. Cook, In Lansing. Mis. R. B. Pope was called away suddenly last week by the sickness of a sister In Ohio. Carlton Hendrickson has been out to Pontiac this week visiting his brother, Firman, who is Dr. Hurd's private secretary. Mrs. R. Hulbert, for a long time resident in this city, has moved from Chicago to spcnd the winter at Michigan City, Indiana. August Widenmann of Whitmore Lake has been quite sick for some time and for the past two weeks has been at Mr. C. J. Durheim's for care. A. Spalding, formerly resident on the corner of Fifth and William streets, is the money -order clerk in the postofflce at Kansas City, Missouri. Mis. Clay, adaughterof the statesman CassiusM. Clay, of Kentucky, has taken up her residence in Mie city. She is an active worker in the tetnperance cause. J. T. Honey, the fonner postmaster at Dexter has been out West prospecting, with the idea of moving, but haa finally returned home with a resolve to remain where he is. Father Carey of this place has been oiticiating at the church In Hudson, for some time past. Recently he was presented with a gold headed cane and over $100 by the appreciatlve people.
