It is pretty hard to keep track of him; we believe, however, tliat he has been stopping at Btemark, Dakota recently. Alpha Nu, under the prtsidency of C. S. Ashley, is eojoylng asuccessful season of litemry woik. Satnrday nlght the usual Thanksgiving exercises were held and were well rendered. Prof. Howison, the lectuier in philosophy for Uie first semester, talks on " Knowledge and Faith," before the Students'Christiun Association Sunday niornInft In the University chapel. By the way, Dr. Cooper has conclmled not to accept the ehair of philosophy made vacant by Dr. Cooker's death. At the faculty meeting last Monday evening it was decided to adopt "standard time" on and after next Mouday. This will apply to chapel exercises, all recitations, lee tures ele, Ihrouglioutthe university. The time hereafter in use wül be tliirty minutes slower than the present time. For example the morning bell will be at 7.30, standard time; the first i-ecitation at 7.45; chapel bell, 8.45; the three remaining recitatioi.s of the forenoon at 9.10 and 11 o'clock standard time. Tlie iirst recitation in the afteruoou will be at 1.30 and the others will follow at 2.30, 3.30 etc, How does it strike you 'i Wednesday evening next at 7 o'clock, standard time, is the hour lixed upon for the dedication of the new library building.- The exercises, wlilch will be held In Uoiversity Hall, consist of an opening adIrcss by Hegent Sheaivr. chairman of the Building Cominlttee. President Angelí 'öllowa with au address on behalf of the Board of Regenta, The address of Librarían Darte, uext on the program, will be followed by the DedicatoryOde by Regent Dufllcild, the exercises to be conchided by the address of Justin Winsor, librarían of Harvard College. Music is furnished for tlie occasion by the Choral Union. The public generally are invitcd.
