Though our acknowledgenient of the woik named below comes somewhat late, we cei tainly take mucli pleasure in referrins to "Trial Practice and Trial Lawyers.'' This is "a treatise on trial of facts before juries, including sketches of advocates, tuining points, incidents, rules, tact and act in winning cases, condenscd speeches, a brief summary of the law of actions, evidence, contracts, crimes, torts, wills, etc." Perhaps the above, taken froin the title page of the book, will furnish the best general idea of the book we can give in the sanie space. Much of exceeding interest will be found in this work of Mr. J. W. Donovan, of Detroit. Not a little that it contains would seem to us to be of considerable valué to many lawyera. The book is cloth bound and pnblisheit by W. H. Stevenson, St. Louis, Missouri.
