Chas. A. Gardner as " Karl " plays at he opera house next Thursday evening. The Omaha Bee says : " Everybody was leased with the entertainment given by his excellent corapany. The picture presented in the picnic scène, when the child, he hanilsoinu dog and the donkey are inrodticed, was universally commcnted upon as one of the prettiest things ever een on our stage. Mr. Gardner is very lever indeed, his dialect and specialties eing among the best we have ever lisened to. Patti Rosa is one of the most charming soubrettes on the stage, and is a whole show in herself. Her songs are well chosen, and rendered with a vivacity and good taste that capture her audience, while her dancing is simply ' immense.' The company in all respects is one that we can cheerfully cominenil to the patonage and good wishes of the towns and itiea whicli they are to visit during the emalnder of the season." A press report from Syracuse, N. Y., ays of tlie compauy appearing here tomorrow night : " A large and enthusiasic audience greeted Miss Jennie Calef ast evening at the Grand opera house in he comedy-drama, ' Little Muftets.' In ustice to the lady we can simply assert hat she stands the peer of Lotta and rliss Annie Pixley. The drama is foundd upon the fortunes of au abducted hild, reared in the lower walks and lums of New York, but whose innate nd instinctive purity of diameter preerves her from degradation. Miss Calef las been the recipiënt of an unbroken nd contlnuous ovation throughout her our with her present powerfiil attr.icon. She is supported by a flrst-class ompany, selected from the principal netropohtan theatres.1'
