There"s manv a trouble Would break like a bubble, And into the waters of Lcthe depart, Did we not rehcarse it, And tenderly nurse it, And give it a permanent place in the heart. There's many a sorrow Would vanisb to-morrow, Were we but willing to tui nish the vings( So sadly intruding, And quietly brooding. It hatches out all sorts oí' horrible thlngs. llow welcome the seeming, Of looks that are beaming, Whether one's uealtliy or vvhether one's pooi' ; Eyes briglit as as a berrj, Cheeks red as a cherrj, The groan and. the curse and heartache can cure. Resolved to be merry, All vrorry to ferry, Across the lamed aterí that bid us for-' get, And no longer fearful,. But happy and cheerful, We feel Ufe lias much that'a worth living lor vet.
