We are in regular receipt of Ihe moutlilv "Magazine of Ari" from Canell & Co., X. Y. It is handsomely Illustrated and beautifully piinted on a flne quality of linted paper. We yery well reinembir the appearanee of tlie early numbers of the magazine several years ago. Since that time luany cliunges made have adiled very ïnuch to its ieneral attractiveness and worth, though at the outset, indeed, it was liighly coinraended. Lippincott's Miijrazine for March opened with an illustrated article OU "The Ber 1 i ti of To-day." Among other papers we lind "A Winter Cainpaign in the Black Hills," by a cavalary officer. Ia "WasliiiifTtoii's Head-Quarters" is presented an HintMÜlg sketch not without a moral. By the way, this month's issue has a supplimcn containing a reprint of a charniinjí little comedy entitled "Place aux Dames" or the Ladics Öpeak at Last." J. B.
