At the meeting of the Lailies' Decoration Society last Friday at the residence of Mrs. Pierce, tlie followingofflcers were clected for the coming year: President, Mrs. Mary Seabolt ; Vice-President, Mrs. J. B. Saunders; Treasurer, Mrs. Win. Fiaher ; Secretary, Mrs. N. II. Pierce. The Society expressed a determinatiou to curry out the original plan of deeorating the soldier's graves, of holding memorial service in the 5th Ward Cemetery, aud of assistlng the G. A. R. In arranging lowers for the cemeteries in the other Darts of the city. Memorial service in the 5th Ward catne the nearc being a 'ailure on the last Memorial líl that it ever has sinee our Society was organized, aud we will hencoforth have muslo, speakng and singing in tlie afteriioon as bcfore. The Society was pretty well represented at the last meeting and there were )resent quite a numbcr of invited guests vho partook of refreshmcnts and listened o readingí, recitals, etc , by some of he members. Tliree laclies wereenrolled as new members. It was resolved aniong ottier thing8 to resume the ciistom of lolding regular meetings with au occaional social gathering. Ttie party separated with mutual good feelings and a desire for future social enjoyinent. Fourteen years of OODtlnued ove and labor for the perpctuation of uemorial service has rendered our sisterlood a society ui wliicli all feel a justnp(reciation. Mns. N. II. PlBBOE, Secreta ry. A. I. Moore, medie '84, is in Colorado raveling for the Egan Trnss Company. Savillon S. Schoft; '46, of Cincinnati, O., was in tlie city this week visiting his brother Nelson M. Schort'.
