The State Teachers' Institute for Washteuaw eount}-, will be held at Dexter, commencing at 10 o'clock a. m., Monday, August 18, and closing Fnday following. II. A. Williams, Esq., Dexter, local committee. It is becoming a well established fact an interchange of views, sucli as is iven in these Institutos, is of great practical beneƱt to those wlio attcncl tliem. The teachers that are found in the front ranks of their profeseion ave generally those who tnke interest enough in their work to avail themselvei of such nieaiis of improvement. Steere, Ann Arbor, Mr. lard, Augnata, and Mr. Dell, Saline; hw'nes?, V. B. Tliompson, Salem, D. D. Allen, Sharon, H. H.Walkinirton, Ypsilanti. After whlcli tlie conventioii ndjourned untll 2 i. ui. Followlng the regular business of tlie convcntion this afternoon several addresses will be made. A meeting will also be held at tlie comt house this evening.
