D. J. Parker, lit. '81, medie. "8:i, praoticing at Reed City, is in town to-day. Miss Mittie M. Curtís, lit. '82, returned to Mouticello Seminary, 111., Wedncsday, to resume her duties is teacher. The resignations of Profs. Campbell and Kent have been withdrawn, so we are inforrned, and the proposition of tlie regents accepted. Mary S. Case, lit. '84, has jone to AVellesley College, to assume the duties of instructor to which slie has been recently appointed. Miss Anna B. Gelston, lit. class of '81, left Aun Arbor, Monday, to resume her duties as instructor in mathematica at Wellesley College, Mass. President Angelí went to Providence Saturday to attend the funeral of the late Senator Henry B. Anthony, of Rbode Island. He was at one time a coworker with the distinguished senator in journalism, and held him in high estcem. A recent issue of the Atchison (Kas.) Daily Champion, gives an extended account of the marriage of Mr. B. F. Hadson and Miss Helen L. Putnam, hoth of that cit}-. Mr. Hudson is a gradúate of the law department, class of '71, and Miss Putnam also spent her early school d:iys at Ann Arbor, hermother, Mrs. Helen E. Putnain, having resided hei e íor a number of years. The bride was dressed in "one of the most elegant cosiumes ever worn In Atehison," having "the onstomary veil, through which were visible diamond ear rings and a magnilicent pearl necklace. The dress was white ottoman sillc, with brocaded silk front, en train. Qloves of white kid, reachlng to the elbows," etc., etc. Rev. John D. Parker, class of '09, who now holds the posltlon of post chaplain in the regular anny, stationed at Fort Ilayes, was in Ann Arbor last weck, remaining over the Sabbath, with a son who s attendiiig school here. Air. Parker has had a busy life since graduating. Besides doing considerable literary work for different pablications, he hasfounded the Kansas Academy of Science, at Topeka, and the Kansas City Academy, at Kansas. City, Mo. He has becu professor of natural science in Washburn College, l'opeka, Ks., for several years. and was at one time superintendent of the Kansas [nstitution for the Blind. Mr. Parker was on his way home f rom tiie sessious of the British Association of Science, held at Montreal last week. It is the second time ie bas visited his alma mater since graduition. According to the Saline Observer the nominatlon of Frank E. Jones of Saline, 'or profecuting attorney, on the democrat icket is a "phixed phact." Two Polacks who were working on the 18W building in the rear of the postoflice, wheelingstone into the cellar, were severely irjured last Friday forenoon b}r eason of the plank breaking upon which they were rolling down a large stone, and precipating them to the bottom. One was injured quite severelj' about the head, and tlie mlier about the body.
