Early In the session Mr. Hurper introduced a bil! to organize the union school district of the villaje of Salem, detiniDg the tci-ritory to be embraced in the district and giving the district " the powerg con f er red upon praded school dirtrlcU by act nuniber 174 public acts of 1881." The bill was reponed aMver.-ely by the committee on enucation md referred to the coinmittee on judiciary, which reconiineiided the passage of the bill. It was pwnd and approved by the governor on April 11.
