Mr. Editor Courier:- In reply to an article in your last issue regardlng tlie goouliiie lamp, uu llie conior of Miller avenue and .spring street, I wish to inforin our Spring street correspondent that our contract remis, that " All lamp posts and attacliments be put in repair before we (Hstrkins Jfc Dignan) take them in hand." ïhis post was out of repair, notwithstanding the committee ín belialf of the city, ordered them put in order imuiediately : but their operator ilidn't get around as was intended (cause being sickness). However, everything will be in good sailing order for next inontb, and we hope títere wlll be no room for complaint on either slde. Tbere are a few more posts which were out of repair, and I would like to say to our worthy brother or sister on Spring street, not to thllik that we neglecled them ourposely, or that we evidently missed the posts. We had our opties on every post in this city before we put in our bid. ïhankingyou Mr. Editor for you kindni-ss in allowing me space iu j-our valuable paper, I ani, Kespectfully yours.
