That peculiar religious organization known as the salvution army opened its warfare on sin as announced last week, in Cropsey's hall, on Wednesday evening last. From all one can judge they conduct theinselves properlj', but their meetings are attemled by a rabble of rowdies and boyswho make the occasion one of distúrbanos and trouble. This is not rigkt. It does not speak well tor this community. Tlie members of this rclirioua Dody have a perfect right to hold their meetings Qndilturbed by anyone. They have a right to worship as tliey see fit unless sunh worship interferes witli the public welfare. The spirit whlch actiiHtt'S those who compose tlie mob that mnkes a disturbance at these meetings is mean, cowardly and despicable, and Iheir actlou should not be winked at by the officials, or allowed to go unnoticed. The peace and good order of our city should be maintaiiied, and if the membert of tlie salvatlon army break over the laws, they should be arrested and punished. But until they do, until they prove theniselves obnoxious to the good moráis and good order of the community, they should be allowed to proceed uniuolested.
