Ed. Coürikr, Ana Arbor, Mich., Dear SlB: - You spoke about the city goin;; into the park business. Your proposition was to go way out into the country, over hills aiidthrough lanes. In my estiination and in the estiriiation of others there is a betler place for a park in the eastern part of tlie rit y The land referred to is the old ctmetery lot and the lot contuining the famous eathole. TUe eemetery lot is now owned by the city, and the cat-hole oujjht to le bought cheap, Mr. Editor, and there are plenty of hills, and valleys and scenery. The trees could be planted if any more are wanted, and water scenery could be made very fine by oleaning out the cat hole, making hard sides and bottom and putting a ram in the center that would foree water into a fountain. Then when the water works oommence opermllon, tliere could be plenty of " babbling brookc" sent winding down tbOH hills intothecathole tolceep up the supply ot water. Besides thia there are pleuty of f rogs tliere and other amphibia, so that none would have to be iuiported to start eitlier a public acquaiium or zoological garden. There are minors ufloat now, that the inembers of the conimoD council drive by and around tliis cemetery and cat-hole daily to take in its beautiful scenery and siintl' the (Mlghtful aroma as it arises from the decaylng regetatlon and frog spawu reclining in silent sublimity on the cat-hole waters. Please print this Mr. Editor, and oblige nianv residents in the aaatem nart. oí tKa
