Suiith, ne Miss Belle Earl, of Detroit, is visiting at Will Hatch's for a time. Chas. S. Aehley is reading law with a prominent Toledo law tirni. He was home Sunday. L. A. Barnes, president ot' tbe Peninsular Paper Co. of Ypsilanti was in the city Mondttji Allen S. Whitney, lit '85, and superintendent of public schools in Mt. Cleinens spent Saturday iu town. Ed. Vogel, formerly with Mack & Schmiil is now witli H. S. Holmes & Co., in Chelsea, and is as happy as a lurk. Jacob Scbaible, who keeps a bakery on Detroit et., is very sick, as is also nis wife, wbich inakes it very hard for the family. Mre. J. Good, of Naperville, UI., and Mrs. J. Nadelhoffer, of Joliet, III., mother and sister of Mrs. D. F. Sohuirer are visiting in the city. M. V. K. Jones, a fortner resident of this city, was in town lookiriL over bis oíd home during the week. He is now a J. P. and a P, M., up in Huron Co. Mrs. Lymau Rich, daughter Minuieand son Kliert, of Bheridan Montcalmcounty, were visiting at Mrs. II. E. (Jhurcb's on Monday last. Tuesday mnrning they starled for their home. Mrs. John Thompson leaves Ann Arbor to-day to spend tlie winter in Florida. She will go tir.st to Jacksonville, bul remain the greater portion of the winter at DeLand, on the 8t. Johns river. Aid. Biggs has gone to Eugland fora short stayuinongold f rienda and relatlvei. It is rumored that fortune has favored liim with a handsome tiuancial smile, and we hope that rumor is not at fault iu this instance.
