We de6iic to express our thanks for the donatlon of $69.78, the result of the Thanksgiving collection. This will relieve our present necessitics, and bring m;iny comforts into the homes of the wcrtliy poor. Wc hope, howevor, that our t'riends will not consider their obligations ended with the Thanksgiving collection. New cases are constaDtly being reported, and sonn; of extreme destitution. One aged couple endured all the severe cold of last winter with no stove, no fuel, absolutely. no heat of any kind exeept what carne from the stovepipe of the family who lived below. Will not our friends in tlieir comfortable homes, ciad in warm garmcnts, and gathcred around bright iiresides, remeiuber the sick, the aged, and helpless little children, and place in our hands the means to relieve their destitution ? Donations of uioney or clothing may be left witli the Treasurer, Mrs. C. B. Andrews, south east corner Liberty and DivisiĆ³n streets.
