Prof. Perry holds an examination in grammar Thureday of thls week, and one in U. 8. hUtory next week. Miss Lizzic Dean, of Washington st. gives a social to the junior class Saturday cTening. Tlic term essays are due as follows: Firs year, Feb. lat; 2nd year, Feb. 8th ; 3rd year, Feb. 15th 4th year, Feb. 22d. Prof. Cuute invites the class in physics to make a thorough examination of the engine in the basement. The chapel has again been divided by large folding doors, to be opened on Tues day mornings during chapel exercises Mrs. Oarrigues occupies the new room witli her classes in elocution and Knglish The high school is now supplied with water by the water works. This is a little better than the filtby old filter. The Christian association meetings have been lar{ely uttenUed olíate. At ¦ meeting of the senior class held Tuesday p. m. , a gold ring was chosen as class emblem and a committee of four appoiuted to select a sty le of ring. The price specified was $5.00. The dynamo has been firmly fastened to the floor in Prof. Chute's loom, and will now be used, as the class in physics entered upou the study of electricity toduy.
