At a special session of the coimcll held Monday evening, Aid. Lnwrence presided. Aid. Martin moved that the time for the collection of taxes be extended to March Ist. Curried. A petitlon of the Inter-State Teleur ipil & Construction Co. was presented aml referred to the general street oommHtee On motion of Aid. Kearns, Postmaster Duffy addressed the council In reference to the nuisance exUting at the post-office in the shape of newsboys and other boys lounging about there, spitting tobáceo juice over the Hoor and jostling against people who come to get m;iil, and asket that the council take soine actlon to abat the nuisance. After some discussion, on motion o Aid. Martin the subject was referred to the city attorney witli instructions to report at the meeting next Monday evcnínfr. On mtion of Recorder Pond, the committeeinformally appointed by the mayor to investígate the project of the M. C. H R. improvements in this city, was ap proved by the council.
