The Coübhb hag received a communlcatión from Mr. Earneit Oberechmidt, of Sclo, complalning of being unjustly asseased and taxed bv the supervisor of bis townsliip. Heclalra8 in bis letter to have Iven away and paid out nearly all of $6,000 received by bim for the farm sold to a son 12 years ago ; and that he now owes money whlch he has had to borrow. Also that he is assessed for 80 acres of land, only 60 acres beitifr under cultiyation, witk no timber on the balance, (and which raises barely enough to support lus family and stock) and on this he has to pay $67.10 tax $10 00 of which is for ten day's road worlc. Why he should be tazed so much when there are farmers about him who pay only $90 taxes while their houses alone are worth more than all his property together, ia a mystery to him, and he feels that he has been unjustly discriminated against.
