E. church announces a Martha Washington Social for Saturday evening, in the parlors of the M. E. chureh. Many of the ladies and gentlemen will appear in costuraes of an hundred years ago, and the ladies are making extra proparations for the occasion. You are especially invited to attend. Col. John Sobieski, of Warsaw, Poland, who speaks under the auspices of the university temperance society In University hall on Friday evening March 5th, is a Prince of the Royal family of Poland. He is a descendant of King John Sobieski, and son of Col. John Sobieski, tho leader of the rebellion of Oiat country in 1847, who was executcd by the Russians for his patriotism. Mr, Sobieski and his mother were banishcd, when he came to this country, where Mi distinguished himselfin seventy-five battl, aud attaining the rank of Colonel. OLD FOLK'S CONCERT. On the evenine of Washington' Birthday, Feb. 22, the Unity Club will give "An Old Folk's concert" at the Unitarian church under the direction of Mr. Alvin Wilsey, assistcd by the University Glee Club, uiombers Of the Amphion Club, and Miss Ida Belle Winchell, soprano.
