Ttie Washington program given by lyceum No. 1, last Wednesd:iy evenlng was Tory iutcresting. Each membor took a part in the cxercises. A debate of the question, "Rctolved, That WaaUngton'l proclamation of neutrality in 1733 was justlfiable," was well handled by A. J. Ladd on the afflnuative and II. N. Frost on the ncgatire. The Budget, the lyceum's weekly paper, editcd tbis week by E. B. C-oarad and contaluiug t'oreign, national, and local news, was not out of place. Tho musli-, furnished by the Hayrlrn -rtett, waa very woll given.
