The entertainment given by the Cocker League, at the M. E. Church Monday evening, was of solid worth. Tlietwo addresses one by Hon. B. VV. Shively upon "The American Land Qaestion," the other by Dr. S. II. Adams, upon "The Irish Land Question," were worthy of larger audiences; both hat been prepared after mucli thought ant research evidently, and the conclusions reached were such as every reasonable man could heartily approve of. These papers are descrving of greater notice and publicity titan it is post-ible for us to glve them. After the entertainment a pleasant reception to Dr. Alabaster was heartily enjoyed by the many f rie ïds present of thelr old pastor.
