The seniora have set down on the queation of a class memorial. The Forest Cheney concert wa8 not a succesa financially.but it was ottierwise. M. O. Graves of '86, lias been elected Supt. of schools for Wyandotte, Mich., at tl, 100. The Chronlcle boys have awarded their prlzes, but wou't teil us who the lucky ones are. The work of decorating and frescoing the nuiin huil s beinj; nicely done by Albert Sorg. Thursdny, July lst, is Commencement Day this year. Baccnlaureate address Sun day, June 27th. Prof. C. M. Gayley saus on the 24th from New York for Ireland, to spend the suinmcr at his old home. Prof. D'Ooge conducta the meeting of the Student' Christian Association in chapel next Sunday inorning. The Symphony concert of Commencement week will be one of the "most charming events" of the week. The Unirerslty base ball club played a game with the Orcliard Lake club tast Saturday, winning by a score of 13 to 7. President Angelí and fatnily expect to spend the nummer in Europc, and will sail therefor on July lOth, It is iiunounced. President Angelí is down for an address to the graduating class of the Battle Creek high school on Thursday evening. Next Frlday evening a play will be glven by member., of the sophomore class, at the residence of Miss Ashlcy. Only sophs will be sdmiUvd. The autog.rsphi of subscribers; to the Ooethe book fund collected through the efforta of Prof. Tliomas, will be bound and placed in the library. Mrs. Stowell set It up to the junior and senior ladies last week. It was a right jolly affair, you know, for there was nota single ugly man in the crowd. There will be a public recital in the general lecture room, north wing, on Friday at 5 o'clock p. m. A general invitation is exteuded to the public to be present. The Adelphi Litcrary Society will give a special literary and musical program in llooin 34, on Saturday cvenlng, June 12lh' Adinission free and everybody cordially invited to be present. The following membera of '87 have been elected as editora of the Chronicle; A. G. Newcomer, Phi Gamma Delta; T. J. Ballengcr, Zeta Psi; Benno Rohncrt and F. j. Wooley, Independent. John H. Fox gradúate of the law department, class of '79, died at bis home in Ypsilanti last Sunday night. Mr. Fox was a colored man of unusual attalnments, and had secured for himself a lucratlve prnctice as a lawyer, being in the office of Hon. Chas. R. Whitman. Mr. Fox was a candidate two years ago on the republican ticket for circuit court commissioner, but was snowed under in the general defeat of the republicans in tliis county.
