Mrs. Dr. J'a;e]son, of the New Engiand Womon's Hospita], at Boston, will spend commencement week in the city. Mrs. Dr. Norton, of the same institution will also be in the city for commencement. On Thursday evening of last week ten of the law studente were admitted to the bar, beinj? examined by the samecommittee as formerly : Messrs. Kinne, Lawrence, and Xorri?. A creditablc examiiiation was pa.sed by them. It was nighty poor taste, to say the least that pcruiitted pliotograpliers to take pictures of the dissecting room with mutilatedbodicslyingaround on tables, etc. The public are not eapecially pleasod with the pictures or enlightened by them eitber, and thcy should be boycotted by the innltitude. One of the finest locations in the oity has been purchased by the Students' Christian Association of the university fortlieir proposed f15,000 building. If the Chiistian people of the state prove as liberal as those of Ann Arbor have shown selves, the $500 now In hand will soon be increased to the desired amount of 1."),000. During the sumincr vacatlon the law library room is to undergo various alterations whicu will add greatly to the convenieiice of all who have occasion to m.ike use of H. Additional Windows are to be put in, nnd a hard wood floor laid. New casses for the accommodation of books are also to be placed in the room, and the old cases which now line the side of the room will bc citt down, so that no book will be higher than can be; convcnicntly reached from the floor. Two other students wandering homeward discover the inhabitants of the tree and demand their descent therefrom. Upon their refusal to come down the newcomers search for a persuaden Act III. They find one in the shape of a lawn hose. It s bnt a minute's work to turn on the water, and a fine stream is soon playing on the tree in which the cherries and first mentioned students are. AH IV. The following notice respecting the Commencement Dinner, to which there will be no ndniission except by ticket, has been issued by Sec'y Wade, and will be of interest to the public generalij: Alumni and former students of all departments of the university, members of the several facultles and graduates of otlier colleges, are iuvited to the Commencement Dinner mi me huik on inursuay. rney can obtain tickets at the steward's office between 8:30 a. m., Tuesday, and 11:30 a. m., on Thursday. Tickets will be distributed to members of the graduating classea in University Hall on (Jomiuencement Day. Specially invited guests will receive tickets with their invitations. Each ticket admlts one peraon only. The procession will form after the exercises in University Hall under the directionof Maj. H. Soule, chief marshal. Holders of tickets are requested, if they do not desire to use theui) either to destroy them or return them to the steward, but in no ca9e to transfer them to other persons. Ths reason for tliis r.'quest is that the accommodations at the rink are insuffleient even for those who are expected to be present from the chisses of persons enumeratril In the invitntion above given.
