The Uon. David A. Wells continúes in the July number of the Popular Science Monthly" bis "Economie Study of Mexico," with a paper consldering the disadvantages ivhich are. inflicted upon that country by its bad systems of taxation and by the unhealthiness of its capital and its principal seaport. The series will close with another paper, in which will becon, sidered the relations which the United States Bhould maintain with Mexico. "Earthquakes and other Scismic Movement8" gives a summary, made clearer by appropriate Illustrations, of the results ot' the latest studies of the nature of eaitliquakes and of inquines into their origin.
