Thos. J. Ballinger left for Texas yesterday. J. W. Brower and famlly have removed to Lapeer. Evart H. Scott left for Dayton, Ohio, this morning, Stanley E. Parkill, of Owosso, Sundayed in Ann Arbor. Freeman of Mauchester has been in the city this week court-iijjf. Dr. A. G. Bruce, of Albion, was the guest of Dewitt C. Fall last Friday. Hon. E. D. Herman Hutzel is confined to hls room by an injured leg, caused by jumping from a delivery wagon. E. B. Gidley who has been confined to nis home by illness for the past week or so, is now improving slowly. Judge Joslyn is suffering from a severe cold upon nis lungs, and has been considerably aülictcd thereby for the pa9t ten days. j_ Altemoon receptions for ladies only, were given last week by Mrs. Prof. Harrington and Mrs. Prof. Stowell, at their respective homes. The pleasing intelligence is received that Mrs. Fall. of Albion, mother of D. C. and Chas. S. Fall of this city, is recoverng from her recent severe illness. Prol. Barber and Miss McMahon of the Normal school, and Miss Gray, preceptress of the high school, of Ypsilunti, visited the high school of this city last Friday. Alfred O. Crozier, has hung out his shingle at Grand Kpids, with Smiley & Karl, where he will be pleascd to interview all clients, regardless of party aftlliations. Kegent Chas. R.Whitman, of Ypsilanti, arrlved home from a trip to Galveston, Texas, last week. He says it was colder down thereon the bay tlian it was here In Michigan.
