Frink and family have moved froin Brighton to the city to reside in the future. Fred S. Avery forinerly of the Cook House is now managing the Central Hotel in Adrián. J. N. Mockett, of Toledo, was in the city yesterday, on butlneat, and visiting J. Austin Scott. Addison McKlcherau and wife of Traverse City, have been visitinji friends here durinj; the week. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. SI. Jones carne to the city Sattirday to visit friends. Mr. J. returning Tuesday. Hev. B. B. Hogers, special representativo of the United States Lyceum Bureau, was in the city Monday. Dr. Jas. Stevens, of East Tawas, has returned to Ann Arbor to complete his course in dental surgery; J. G. Sextro, of the Sextro Furniture Co., Cincinnati, O , was in the city the last of the week on business. John Bennett experienced a tip-over while outcutter riding last Saturday a. m. but fortunutily it was only a scare. Miss Mary Scott leaves to-morrow for a visit to her brother, Dr. Austin Scott. at Rntger'g college, '.at Xew Brunswick, New Jersey. The railroad cominissioner hasappointed Maj. Wyllys C. llansom liis deputy. The appointment i a good one, as Mr. Ranaom has had a large experience with railroads and has ably fllled his positlon for a nnmber of years. L. E. Chapin and wlfe nee Lizzie Hadley, of Toledo, carne to the city Saturday and 011 Monday evening a number of guests were invited to meet them at their frrand-father's, V. VV. Wincs', and a pleasant occasion resulted. We received a very'pleasant cali yesterday from W. V. Redfield, the editor of te Experiment, Norwalk, Ohio. Mr. Redfleld is a pioueer in the printing business haring worked 011 the Toledo Blade some 44 years ago when they printed 14 quires on a h ind preat and had plenty of extra copies lelt.
