E. E. Royer lias been quite 111 for somt time. A. L. Noble is conflned to hls house again. J. T. Jucobs left for Ohio this morning for a few ilay's business trip. B. VV. Waite, of Dexter, was in the city yesterday, greeting old time friands. Dr. P. B. Rose was home over Sunday. He wlll return to Chicago next week. Rev. II. Palmer, of Lima, was a pleasant cüiler at the Coumer lastSaturday. W. F. Davldson, ol Port Huron is in the city looking after ;the electric light plant. Maj. Wm. C. Stevens returned last Friday from a business trip to northern Wisconsin. Capt. Schuil is forging to the front for mayor in great shape - he grows stronger erery day. Mayor Robison is off on a secret mission to - Washington ?- no, to hisold home in New York. Thos. J. Keech has been quite III for the past ten duys, and is stil 1 unable to attend to business. Mayor Robison and City Attorney Klnne were in Chicago on business last FrIday and Saturday. Chief Englneer Hawks and General Attorney Alfred Russell of the M. C. R. R. were in the city Monday. Miss Rose Fritz returned to her home in Grand Rapids, Monday after an eight week's visit In and about the city. Arabrose Kearney and Supervisor Butts will go to Mason the coming week to organize a council of the Bay State Association. Will C. Hollands, of Jack son, was in the city over Sunday. He gets homeslck for bis old Ann Arbor Wends occasionally. We learn that thcre is continued improvement in the health of Dr. John Alabaster, and there are strontr hopes of his recovery. C.irroll Remick, freight agent of the M. C. R. R., and one of the most faithful officials In the employ of the company, is dangerously ill at the home of his mother on E. Catharine st. Geo. Havlland bas returned from his southern trip. By a little diplomacy he got in to see Gerinomo and his band of Apaches at St. Augustine, Fla , and says bis 8tomach has not assumed a normal condition yat after looking at the filthy set. John Dunning and his son-in-law, Bert Watson, both of Unadilla, were in the city on business lastThursday and Friday. Mr. Dunning commenced business at unadilla over 40 years ago, and is one of the weaithiest men in Livingston county to-day.
