The March erop report has this to ay of prospecta in Washtenawcoiinty: "The wheat plant is weak from tbework of inapets in the fall and it is not strongenough to stand mueh hardship. Clover is much injnrad by frepzing und thawing. The roots are out of the ground from one to six inclies. When the snow went off the wheat wns left exposed to the winds so that it was ininred aome, but cannot teil how much. No disease among horses, cattle, or swine." A writer in the Miehisran Farmer aavs : There are manv fruit growers who havo a stronr and, I think, rather unreaponable prejudice against the use of Paris Grepn, for It appeara to me that the abuse of t is more to lip feared. To those who use it intellifrently the effects are decidedly tieneficial. To this class belones Renben Beuhi a farmer, who reldps near GageImvn. In the center of hls orehard he p'aces a kerosene barrel, whicb he filis with water adding two tableapoonfuls of Paris Green. Wlth this simple remedy, refllling the barrel at intervals, he sprays bis fruit trees of all kinds twice during the yenr, using a common tin force pump with a spray attaehment. This gives to the trees a healthy, and thrifty appeariinop, freeing them from attacks by the curculio and other insects.
