The reralt of the election in the state last Monday is known to be favorable to tlie republican ticket. Though the raajority is not deflnitcly settled, yet it will react) 8,000 at least. Tbia is a handsome one eoiuldering the allabsorbing question of the prohibitory niendment, wbich everywhere left the state nominees totake care of themselves. No one worked upon either side for the state ticket, which was of little concern to the people, evidently. It Is a SHtisftictioii to know tliat sucli able men as Long and Campbell will grace the gupreme bench of our state, and such excellent business men as Hebaril and ButterHeld will be added to our board of regents. Upon these two results, certainly, the people of Michigan are to be congratulad.
