The discourse of tbe reverend pastor was a rare treat to bis hearers, and was well worthy the high commendation bestowed upon it. The beatiful hall, the glitterinp uniforma of the Slr Knijrlits, the exqulsite floral and other decorationg, the iiiusic and last, but by no means leat, the larjte attendanceof ladies who graced the occasion by their presenoe, made au impressive effect and oue not likelysoou to be forjrotten. After the close of tUe services tbe doors of tbe drill room were thrown open and tbe large congregation, nuuiberin: over three hundred, was Invited to step in and refresh themselves. There a temptlng display awaited them. Graceful banquet tables were artistically disposed about the room, groaning under their loads of tempting vlands. Fair ladiesund valiant knihu waited upon the gueht3, deüghtful music charmed tbe ear, and all went " merry as a uuirriiige bell." The evening cloged In social converse, interspersed witb promenades, music, etc. It was a veritable midsummer fettlval and a perfect success. The coraraandery ackaowledge their indebtedneRS to the ladies for all that made the occasion wlmt it was. They contributed the greater part of the refreshmentp, spread the tables, decorated them, walted upon the euests, and above all honored the commanderj' by their presence and approval. No wonder that Eminent Commander der Xichol.i' face beained witli smiles. Few commanders have had so charmin a stuif of aides-de-camp, nor so efficiënt withal.
