KXHIIilT OF FRUIT. W. F. Bird: apromising seedling peach from pits of Hill's Chili; a very small peach of fine quality, purchased from Louis' nursery, Monroe, Mich, as the Wager peach. Mr. Bird and others think it is spurious, also Oíd Wixon, a white peach of the best quality. IT. B. Covert: sweet apple seedling not considered worth propagating. E. Baur: Belle Lucrative pear very juley and of fine quality j also Bartlett, still the best market pear. Prof. Nichols warned the peach men not to shlp unripe fruit. They could get better prices for fully matured fruit. A vote of tlianks was tendered to Prof. Nlchol8, in whose hands the fruit growers feel safe, whitcver direction their fruit may take to suit the market and their own interests. A vote of thanks was also tendered to Mr. Toms for hls gplendid exhibit of flowers and houseplants. In regard to the exhibit at the state fair, fruitgrowers are requested to do their best to contribute from Washtenaw at least 150 plates of fruit. Sec. Ganzliorn was appointed to receive andforward the fruit. The exhibit at the county fair will be discussed at the next monthlv meeting first of October. ANN ABBOR FRUIT W0KK8. Those that have soft peaches, pears and other fruit will be glad to learn that these works will be ready this week to make jellies, apple butter, and evapórate any kind of fruit.
