Walker and Miss Maggie Bower have teen spending several days tt Zuky Lake. Miss Ni'ttic Ames, who has been absent for some time, beingeugaged in teaching, is now ut home. Mrs. Louis Blitz has returned to Detroit, after several weeks' stay with Mrs. S. Blltz during her illness. Giles, on Kuiler street, on her was home from Chicago. John H. Hinchman, of T. H. Hinchm M & Sons, Detroit, vislted bis son, who is attending the uuiversity, last Friday. James D. Warner, of the Stock Grower publishcd at L9 Vegas, New Mexico, was iu the city on a flying visit last week. Mrs. Allie Boylan has just returned frotn a week's stay Ht Pullman, 111., with her hutband. She expects to go to Pullman to stay permuuently soon. W. F. Warren of Albion, N. Y., and M. F. Warren, of Buffalo, father and brother respectlvely of Mrs. A. I,. Noble, have been spending a few days in the city. A. L. Noble and wife went to Detroit yesterday, in eompany with Mrs. Noble's father and brother, who go to Mt. Clemens to try the effleaciousness of the mineral baths. Prof. Steere and pirty arrived safely at the Philipnines. The voyage from Japan to Hong Kong was a very rough one. Tliey were entertiiined at a dinner by our minister at thelatter place. Mrs. Alabaster recently passed a day with her cousin, Mrs. Prot. Steere. She was 011 herway from Chicngn to Port Baron, where she internis to spend the winter. Her little son, now seven weeks nld, was n.imed by Dr. Alubaster just before he died. Dr. A. N. Collins, of New York City, s visiting at Judge Cheever's. In a competitive exauiination against graduates Trom all the medical colleges in the jountry, he won the position of ambulance sursreon at Bellevue Hospital, showing Uut tl e alumni of the L. of M. can liiild their own against all other colleges, even if they do not have a Detroit clinic.
