The last issue of tlie Ypsilantian contains some remarknble statements of cures by falth, among otliers the followinjr, for wliicli it vouches, being cnt'uely familiar vith all the c'roumstances onnected with he strange case : In tliis city, witliiii the past month, one las occurred which must compel assent, we think to the reahty of micIi cures, whatever theories auy may chooso to 'rame as to the agency. We have been ntimately acqualnted with the famlly uring the period of their recent allürion, and knew all of the clrcumstaacei ai he time; but we forbore public niention f it, throngh fenr of subjecting them to unpleusant notorlety as objects of merely urlous Interest. But since it was menioned in the Commercial last week, and especlally as that is Hable to jjtve an imression in some respecta erróneos, we ecite it liere. Miss Stella Wyatt, living wlth her widowed mother ín Ohio, was aillicted with curvature of the spine, and about lrt-e years ago bccame uoable to walk. Cleveland physiclans filted her with a teel brae.e to relieve the spinal column f the weight of the upper part of the body, and with that support was she lone able to stand on her feet a moment, when they removed here two years ago. Last Kebrunry her malady became mach worse, and she was entirely prostrated, ind had not since been able even to sit n an easy chair without support ur il threee weeks ago. She had the attendance of Ypsilanti physicians, who ronounccd it a clear case of com)oimd curvature, and treatment guve icr no benefit. The only hope 8eenied to be that she might improve far nough to undergo the ordeal of being ncased in a piaster jacket. She, Uowuer, cherishtd a different hope. She was very devoted and sweet-spirited Chrisian glrl, with a profouncl faith iu the mmedlate personal care of her Creator; nd under the instruction of the lïev. Ir. Wtlton of Grand Uajiids, well known ere, and of Miss Judd of Buffalo, umi f some Ypsilanti friends, she was led to trustlnsr faith In the purpose of the Allirhty Healer toward herself. Upon eachinjf that point, she united in sup licutlon with a younjr lady friend who was with her, and realized a consciousess that she was healed. She at once ¦oíe from her bed unasslsted, and dressed lerself and sat in a chalr to greet her asonlshed and frihtened mother as she reurned from a brief ride. This was on Vodnesday, three weeks ago. The stateïent that she bas been in perfect health ver 6ince, is likely to be misleading. She was very weak.and is weak yet, tiiontrh teadily gainin;; strength; but evidence f the spinal trouble bas disappeared, aud lie walks about the houe aml on the orch every dy, without any brace or ther support, and can rlde in :i carriage - a marveloui chanjic from her best conition for the past four years. As before stated, we have been personlly familiar with the circumstances for nore than slx months past, and well ;now liow completely helpless was her ondltion. Mrs. Wyatt is a couslu of Mr. '. S. Stanley, of Rawsonvlllc, and she nd her daughters are membirs of the ongregational church here.
