The animal meeting of Uns society, at the oourt houe yesterday afternoon, was quite well attunded. President liraun, incalling the meeting to order, g;ive quito au intorestlnK talk. This sticcess, lic tbought, augurs well for he future of the coünty fair. The spring fair was bd unsatisfactory experiment, owing to un favorable circumstanccs and contiiiuous bad weather. The society lost no money, but many members lost considerable valuable time ; but had the veatlier been good he thought the wolkers would have been handsomely rewarded. Mr. Braun then reviewed the disilay at the last fair, commenting favoribly upon the excellence of the exhibif, He suggested that the county pomologcal society bu invited to take an active art in the anuual fairs hereafter. He would recommend that the board appoint soine one (i uuiC the tren8urer in counting recelpts at the end of cach day's fair; he would also recommend tluit sonie uniform rate e established for tliose having shows, gamos, etc., upoD the jjjwunds during the ¦ear; for pasturing or for the Ufe of the ;rounds for auy purpusc; also establlsh he rent of the dwelling-houae on the grounds. All contracts or purchases nade by the superintendent or agent of he society should be certified to by hiin efore being allowed, and all money received by liim to be paid over to the treasirer at once; the treasurer to give a bond, as the law directs. The president also recomniended tliat the society offer premiums for races, not to exceed two i.icli day, without any entrance fee, in order to bring out young and green ïorses. He thought the premium list hould be modiüed so tliat every dollar offered could be paid fiom the receipta romptly.
