It is quite fortunóte that thcre Is sorae flower typical of the marriage ceremony. The orange tree blossoms all the year a round and consequently is never out of season, on which account it has probably been selected as the proper thing with whicli to bcdeck brides. Th Is week we have quite a list of these important events to announce: Mr. Qeo. B. Hodge, lit, "87, of Leseur, Mum., is to be married Tuesday, Dec. 27th, to Miss Mary Champion, of Ypsilanti, in the Baptishchurch, at that place. The marriage of ltobcrt Moore and Miss Alice Wheder, of Saline, is announced for Dec. 27th. It is announced that Prof. C. N. Jones will be united in marriage, on Saturtluy, to Miss Sarah Ilenriques, formcrly of this city. The ceremony to takc nlaco in Phnadelphla. Carda are out announcing the marriage of Miss May, daughter of Mrs. N. Hemingway, to Leslie A. Jacox, of San José, Cal., at the residence of the bride's inother, 0 E. University ave., on Thursday, Jan. 12th, at 3:30 o'clock p. m. To-morrow even ing will witness the marriage of Mr. Philip N. Stimson, of East Saginaw, but formerly of thia city, and Miss Josie E. McCreery, the youngest daughter of Wm. McCreery, Esq., at the residence of the bride's father on 8. Fourtli st. Many good wislies will go with the couple to their new home in East Saginaw. Next Monday, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John N. Uailey, on División st., Miss Fannie Bailey will be united in marriage with Win. James Olcutt, of Ilurley, Micli., in the upper península, where their residence will be in the future. Mr. Olcutt Is a gradúate of the University, taking thedegree of Ph. B., in 1883. At St. Andrew's church, next Monday evening at 5 o'clock, Miss Bessie Hichaidson, of this city, is tb bc married to Mr. Bert Collins, one of Charlotte's young business men, of the firm of Collins & Son, druggUU. Miss lïichardson will be missed by her many friends in the city, whose best wishes will follow her to her new home. Dr. II. E. Arndt, of this city, was married last evening to Mrs. Flora B. Hall, at the reudence of the bride's sister, Mr.. H. M. Clougli, on VV. Huron st., Kev. Dr. S. H. Adams performing the ceremony. The couple are both well known in society circles, and will have many hearty congratulations in their new relations. They will remaln at home to receive tiieir friends. On Thursday, Dec. 15th, at the ro.-idence of the bride's father, Dr. K. W. Thrift, of Lima, O., a brilliant doublé wedding took place, the contracting parties being Miss Flora Thrift to Edgar N. Kendall, Toledo, O., eldest son of Mrs. A. J. Kpiuiall, of thU city, and Miss Eate Thrift to Johnson Thurston, luw '65. After tlie ceremonies the parties left for Toledo, their future home. Mr. Eendall and bride spent Sundny and Monday in this city with their nother and Urothers.
