Council Proceedings
Tliere was a special session of the council Monday night, with nearly a full board in attendance. The tiine for the paying of taxes was extended to March lst. The council organlzed as a hoard of registration with L. D. Wlnes as chairmau and Win. Herz as secretarv. The Wednesday previous to tlie 27th of Fcbruary, on whlch the locil option election ia held, falling upon the 22d of February, a legal holiday, the meeting of the board was culled for Thursdiiy, the 23c], at the following places: lst Ward- A. V. Koblson & Son's livery office. 2d Ward-Wm. Herz'sshop. 3d " -Agricultura! room, Court House. 4tu " - Flreman's Hall. 6th " - Euglne House. Gtli " -Englue House. Timothy E. Keating was chosen alderïuan in the 4th ward, and A. F. Martin in the Uth ward for registration aml election purposes.
