En. Courier :- The correspondent lust week who concluded to go witli the ministers is undoubtedly one of the frail sort who is obüifed to surround hiniself wltli stich influences iti order to keep from going to the bad. His idea, however, that the ministers are always on the right side, though geuerally speaking is correct, yet is souietimes at fault. For instance, when the Saviour was condemned by Po ti us Pilate.it was the priests who lt d the raultitude and crled "Crucify him! Crucify him!" It is not tnteided to draw a parallel, but simply to show th;it ministers, being merely human beings, are liable to err the same as any other eluss of people. Anothcr instance was before and during the war. when the ministers of the south upheld the cause of slavery. Furthermore, on tliis particular subject, they are not as competent to speak undtTHtandlngly as are soine others who have the practical knowledge that it is impossible for tliem to obtain. The very fact that they are ministers precludes the possibility of theirgainlnf? any considerable knowludjte except upon one sidc of the question. It might be stated th.it there is no choice witn a minister. He is oUigal to take the side he does in this afritiition or be boycotted by h6
