Gregory, of Dexter, was in the city Monday, uaving just returned fiom an extensive western trip. Fred Henlon, of the savings bank, will go to Portland, Oregon, to engage in a bank there, about the tirst of July. Dr. and Mis. V. C. Vaughan leave the city Mondny for Cornell Unlversity, where the Doctor delivers a course of lecturas. Dr. Scott, professsor of Rutgers college, was In attendance at the wedding of his sister, Miss Miry Scott, last week Wednesday. Mrs. Chas. ,T. Kintner arrived from Washington last Friduy evening, to spend some lime witli her pƔrente, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Pack, on N. IngalU 8t. Mowrey Pierce, of Sharon, was the guest. of Ex-Mayor Robison last Friday and Saturday. While Mr. Pierce liad llved in tlie county Binoe 3834, this is his Hrst vislt to tlie county sear, in 24 years. He was pleased with tlie town. W. B. Cady, the recently elected treasurer of Sault de St?. Marie, was in town Sunday and Monday to eee his parents. He reports that city as having doubled its population in the past year, and as si ill rapidly increasing in number and valuation. He is assi8tant cashier in the Soo national bank, which has the (ineit building Ui the Upper Peninsular.
