Editor Courier:- The following are fome good sii2;estions made by tlie stockshow jouriial to the county fair associations: Breeders and exhibitors of the various breeds of line stock should get together n good time and see to it that many mistakes of the past, be avoided. We are none of those who would by any means charge tlie mistakes of the past to superintenednts of departnaents. On the contrary we consider that but very little of this power should be left In the hands of the superintendentents as tliere are enough of minor details for them to attend to. Besides this is a question that euiinently pertains to the best interest of breeders themsel ves, and if they only take the trouble, they are by far the best (jualitied to make selections of strong competent men of lntegrity. Experts are few and far between, and it will take years to edúcate enough to do the work required. The object of agricultural fairs and live stock shows is to edúcate not alone the farmer but the exhibitors themselves. Tho decisions incompetent judges are worse than noue, because no matter how absurd it muy lie, there are people wbo will conclude that itisjust, and they frequently follow in tlie line of sucli decisión as have been marked out. Let us have the best ludiras obtainable.
