A Republlcan .State Convention, to nomínate candidates for State Olflcers and Electora for President and Vice-President of the Initfd Stntes and tbe transacllon of snch other buMuess as may properly come before lt, wlll be held at Detroit Kink In the City of Detroit, beginning ut 2 o'clock. p. m., Wednesday, Aug. slh, i 'oiiUiiulnsc Thursday, Aug. 9th, 188S. In accordance wllh a resolutlon adopted at iiand Rapids, May lOth, 1876, every county wlll be entllled to one delégate for each 500 of the total vote cast for governor at the last State election (Nov. 1886) and one addltional delégate for every fractlon amounting toHOO; hut each organlzed county will be enlltled to at least one delégate. Under a resolutlon of 1858 no delégate wlll lie entltled to a seat In the Convention who iloes not reside In the county be proposes to represent.
