'Young Hcarts1' is the title of a new cheap magazine for the young f'olks of the tamily, and the first Issue ig quite creditable. It is published at 50 cents a year by Youn? Ilearts Pub. Co., (2 and 64 Cedar st., N. Y. "Cimpaign Songs for 1888," is the titlc of a little soiifr book ssued by Dr. V. H. Smitli, of 8t. Clair, and it contains somc very happy hits and some very pleasant songs nlso. It is a ncat tliing tor eainpaigD clubs, nnd can to obtained at 10 cents each, $o .."0 for 50, or ?ö for 100 copies. The Century for the coming ycar is to contain ('li irles 1) ¦ Kays series of illustrated papers in Ireland, for some time in preparation and already mnounced. Tley will deal with the ethnology, custcniis, Üterature, etc, of the country. A series of Iriah-A merican stories by Ueorre H. Jessup ia also to appear during 18S9. BxOh story is complete in itself, bat the si-ries have a connected iutereal. E . W. Keindle will f uniish illustrationi-. The author ot that successfnl novel, "üead Huu 's Rock," who modestly hides his dentity behind the letter "Q," has written another story which Cauell & Company mnounce. It is called "The Aston isli i ng Ilistory of Troy Town." and it is n astonishinr history Indeed. The story begius as quietly as a pastoral, but is H8 full of surprise as a summer day with its clouds and storms. It is a capital story and will add largely to "li's" already extended reputation as ii popular wiiter.
